Musical Background

Jessica is a Music Therapist and violinist.

She holds an MSc (Distinction) in Music Therapy and a BA (First Class Hons) in Music and a Distinction in Grade 8 Violin.

Jessica's Music Therapy experience extends to working with children in care who may have additional behavioural and emotional support needs. She has also supported people living with dementia in hospital, community and care home settings.




Roles

Jessica is an avid chamber musician and session musician, believing violin can be utilised for so many gorgeous blends and genres. Jessica currently facilitates traditional music sessions at the King's Head, Stamford and The Kingston Arms, Cambridge. She currently plays viola with Rutland Sinfonia, and recently played violin with the Aurora Ensemble and Edinburgh City Orchestra.

Jessica is currently working as a Music Therapist at a Residential Therapeutic School, working with young people aged 5-19 who may have social, emotional and mental health needs.

Jessica previously worked as a musician with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra's outreach and educational program, Dots and Lines, and more recently as a project assistant with ReConnect. Her aim is to inspire and ignite passion amongst aspiring musicians.
